User Info Bot
Nearly every Telegram bot integration eventually needs a raw numeric ID — a user_id to check against an allow-list, a chat_id to send a message to via the Bot API, or a file_id to reference a sticker. User Info Bot is built around exactly that need: send /start to see your own ID, forward a message to see the sender's, or forward a sticker to get its file identifiers.
What makes it one of the most-used tools of its kind (its own profile shows well over half a million monthly users) is that it asks for nothing beyond the forward itself — no account, no bot token, no configuration. It reads only what is inside the forwarded message and returns the IDs Telegram itself assigned, which makes it safe to hand to a teammate who just needs a chat ID once and will never touch it again.
It covers users, bots, groups, channels and stickers, making it a broader Swiss-army version of the many single-purpose 'get my ID' bots that exist. For anyone building against the Telegram Bot API, this is usually the fastest way to get the numeric identifiers real code needs.

Does the bot store the messages I forward to it?
Its stated purpose is only to read and return basic info from the forward; no data-retention policy is published.
Why does forwarding sometimes not show a user ID?
The sender may have restricted linked forwards in their privacy settings, which hides their account from the forwarded message.
