A Russian link shortener with smart click analytics, UTM tag support, custom aliases and QR codes — free for a small number of links, paid beyond that.
Shortener bots turn a long URL into a short one and count who clicked it. Inline bots do it inside any chat; service bots add analytics, custom aliases and your own domain. The short link lives on the service's server, so the service matters more than the bot.
The best Telegram bot for link shorteners is Link19 (@link19_bot): a Russian shortener with click analytics, UTM support, custom aliases and QR codes, free for three active links and paid beyond that. YLinkPro (@ylinkpro_bot) is the free pick with inline mode and a click counter, and Short.io (@Shortio_bot) is the official bot of a branded-link platform for short links on your own domain.

We shortened the same five links in every bot, including one with UTM parameters and one with Cyrillic characters, then opened each short link from three devices and compared the click statistics with reality. We checked the redirect speed and whether an interstitial page or delay appears, whether the alias can be chosen, whether inline mode works and what happens to links after the free limit. Bots that inserted ads on the redirect page were ranked lower.
A short link is a redirect on somebody's server: if the service closes or suspends a free account, every link you shared stops working. Prefer services with a company behind them, like Short.io, or with published terms, like Link19, for links that go into print or ads. For a one-off link in a chat, any inline bot is fine.
Click counts are the reason to use a bot rather than Telegram's own link previews. Link19 and YLinkPro count clicks; Link19 and Short.io also keep UTM tags intact, which matters for campaigns. Custom aliases make a link readable, and a QR code from the same bot saves a trip to a separate generator.
Free tiers limit active links or add a redirect delay: Link19's free plan allows three active links with a ten-second delay. Open-source bots like URL Shortener use several public shortening services at once and have no limits of their own, but inherit each service's rules. Telegram's Premium link previews and the t.me/+ invite links cover many cases without any shortener.
YLinkPro, URL Shortener and AS URL Magic are free; Link19 and Short.io have free tiers with limits on links.
Link19, YLinkPro, AS URL Magic and Short.io show click statistics; inline-only bots usually do not.
Short.io's bot creates links on a custom domain connected to your Short.io account.
They live as long as the service and your account do; check the free tier's limit on active links before sharing widely.
